My education and teaching

My passion for teaching art, enabled me to earn a Art Studio bachelor’s degree at American University and a Master’s degree in Art Education at George Washington University. As a high school art teacher, I shared my artistic ability and enthusiasm with my students. I have had many solo and group art exhibitions in Washington DC and international art exhibits.

My experiences

As an adult, I have traveled around the world. I have been to magnificent China, India, Turkey, Morocco, Southeast Asia, Europe, South America, and Africa. These travels and the many threads of my life experiences are reflected in my art, writings, and music. My interest in eastern and western art, poetry, music, acting, and dancing has deepened my own artistic interpretations.

Who I am

I was born in Shanghai, China, but grew up in Taiwan and the US. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved to draw and paint. Color thrills me. Through my art, I want to experience “reality transformed” and help others experience it as well. My paintings – created with spontaneity, and fully charged with lively energy and intensity – are meant to help viewers travel to new destinations of the heart and mind.
